Comparison of the Combining Methods Used In Space Diversity

The basic concept of diversity; where two or more inputs at the receiver are used to get uncorrelated signals. aim this paper is an attempt compare some possible combinations diversity reception and MLSE detection techniques. Various combining techniques can be distinguished: Equal Gain Combining (EGC), Maximal Ratio (MRC), Selection Switching (SS).The simulation results shows that MRC give better performance than other types (about 1 dB with EGC 2.5~3 selection switching combining).
